2017 Annual Meeting: Czech Republic
We selected Prague as the location for our 16th Annual Network Meeting. Regarded as one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, the stylish capital of the Czech Republic is brimming with grand historical and cultural sights.
Our event took place from 7-9 May 2017 at the Prague Marriott Hotel, conveniently located in the Old Town providing easy access to many of Prague's most notable attractions, including Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge.
Representatives from almost 70 countries attended - see photos from Meeting Room and Gala Dinner.
The event consisted of a City Tour, a Gala Dinner with live music from a Cymbalo band who performed arrangements of modern songs with traditional folk instruments.
During the official Opening Session we heard exciting news from the UFO Head Office and participants took part in a special Workshop Session and saw the launch of our new company video (view here).

Our evening dinner excursion was held at Kolkovna Celnice, a local restaurant that accentuates the pride in the long and famous tradition of Czech beer brewing. Owned by the Pilsner brewery, the venue is decorated with period photos and brewing equipment.
We enjoyed a 3 course banquet served at our tables and accompanied by traditional Czech beer, wine and soft drinks. A fantastic band was organised by our Host Member, Zoom Cargo who ensured everyone had a great time and lots of dancing finished our memorable evening together.
All delegates gained access to our online Meeting Manager program, developed especially for UFO so that 20-minute business meetings could be arranged prior to arrival in Prague. See Meeting Brochure
During these important sessions, delegates highlighted their specialist areas, discussed cross trade and potential collaborations as well as provided information regarding their country’s regulations and requirements. These crucial meetings also provided an opportunity to share key import and export trade information.
